Training Storytellers

The Basic Track course consists of six one-week modules over 15 months (240 class- room hours), and ends with a 4-day final exam.

In Basic Track, the storytellers learn to tell 110 stories in chronological order, starting with the Creation and ending with the Ascension. The total Scripture learned is the equivalent of 70 Old Testament chapters and 850 verses from the Gospels. As a part of their practicum, the storytellers are required to train others in their own areas to tell the same stories. These apprentices are then brought in for testing at the final exam and their grade becomes part of their storyteller mentor’s grade!
